I had problem with my eye for 2 days and called Fairway Eye Center on a Saturday. They scheduled (fit me in) me an appointment within an hour and Dr Price took care of the problem. Excellent service.
New patient experience was initially very positive - ease of getting an appointment, friendly office staff, nice eye doctor with typical eye exam. It got awkward at the end when I was asked to sit at a desk in the lobby. I assume the guy across from me was going to try and sale me some frames. At no point did he try to sale me anything, but it was awkward. Upon payment, I was not given a my prescription or told that it would be emailed to me. Instead, I had to ask for it- weird. When I called today to inquire if not giving a copy of a prescription is standard practice, the office staff said "yes," they just keep it on file.
We've been a Fairway Eye Center family for about 11 years now. We started with Dr. Bunde, who helped us navigate amblyopia (lazy eye) and eye patching, and later, eye therapy for my middle child. I, too, have amblyopia, so I get my regular eye exams, contacts, and glasses here. Now my youngest (age 11) is also struggling, and we see Dr. Nichols at this location. She's been kind, patient, and thorough over the years, and my youngest feels very comfortable in her care. We went last week for annual exams-- Lisa welcomed us warmly (as always!), and Dr. Nichols worked her magic. My daughter and I both needed new prescriptions and glasses.
