My wife and I were passing through the area from Colorado on our way to Florida. We had spent the night in Wilson at the Atlas Ad Astra (if you're a Harvest Host member check this place out) missle silo. We had noticed that one of our fur babies was having a discharge from one of her eyes. I called the vet and they promptly got us in for an exam. The Dr (Laura?) Was very kind and concerned. To do a thorough exam she had to sedate our baby. It turned out she had a piece of grass in the eye. After removing the grass and treating the eye she had to suture the eye closed to help with the healing process. The grass caused an ulcer on the eye that hopefully will heal. Jessie, their equine vet is so amazing with the horses! I have dealt with vets in the past and have never been this impressed! Just how thorough and kind she is with them amazes me. Sarah the vet tech is equally as great, honestly they work so well together and I would recommend this team to any and everyone!! Even if your not located in Ellsworth you should check them out, they’d be worth whatever it might cost to come to your place!!
