When I called to get an estimate for some landscaping, I had to leave a message. Then waited a few days for a call back. The first thing they told me was that they have a $5000 minimum. I said I really didn’t know how much the work would cost and asked if they could come out and take a look. I waited several more days until they were able to come to my home. After discussing what we wanted, he said they would get back to me. I never heard from them again!
Hittle was subcontracted to complete the landscaping of our newly built house. Overall, I would say the job was mediocre at best. The most disappointing part is that we have significant grading issues on one side of our property and the ground is constantly wet and spongy. We have submitted multiple requests to have it fixed but nothing has been done. They were also responsible for installing our sump pump system and we have had nothing but problems. We have a brand new home, and the sod that the Hittle crew put in looks like Frankenstein. I had the displeasure of watching them lay sod for the house that was being built across the street and now I know why our sod was done so haphazardly! I watch them throw the rolls of sod down and kick them across. They never Made sure that they were tamped down or made sure that the pieces met. Our side also is different colors and the crabgrass is rampant throughout. We were told because they just used so that was not from the same cut.
