“I was extremely nervous to sit in a stylists chair again because the last two stylists that touched my hair damaged it severely -- my hair had broken off in the back and on the sides into two inch pieces. It was devastating.But from the moment I walked into Manifest, I felt at ease, comfortable, and my stylist Hannah listened to my LONG stories about the history of my hair without making me feel like I was being annoying. She took in everything I said, asked me questions and if I had any concerns, and it was so nice to feel heard by someone. This is the type of stylist who truly cares about how her guests feel, she doesn't just look at them and see how much she's going to get paid, she is genuine. (And that's why you need to tip her well if you ever do go sit in her chair!)This salon only has four stylists but I think that Tyler (the owner) was very conscious in choosing who worked in his salon. The staff is the epitome of the saying "QUALITY over QUANTITY". They not only transform your hair but also make you feel genuinely welcomed and valued. I know that I felt like I got more individualized care tailored to my preferences and needs compared to any other salon I've ever set foot in.As for the salon itself.... The atmosphere is absolutely luxurious but not over the top. The décor, the hand picked furniture and accents clearly tells me that a lot of time and effort was put into this place. It creates an ambiance of relaxation and comfort. And while it IS luxurious, it doesn't have that "stick your nose up at regular people" vibe -- you can be plain Jane as can be, and they still welcome you and treat you like a friend. It's absolutely wonderful, they have candles burning, they offer you complimentary lattes/coffee, their shampoo bowls have cushions on the neck part and are SOOO comfortable! They also have more advanced appliances compared to other salons. (For example...Sitting under the dryer isn't an old school machine that blows hot air out of a helmet that's placed over your head. Manifest has driers that have heat panels on each side of your head, that are very spacious, and no hot air is being harshly blown on your hair)The stylists here remind me of a little family and they treat their clients the same way. The genuine hospitality that they have clearly made a point to offer to their guests is SO much different than the "big name" or franchise salons.Long story short, I couldn't praise this place more & I'll be going back.And if I didn't already mention Hannah McVey was my stylist :)“
