Typical All American VFW Post 251 includes restaurant. With the pandemic and employee challenges, things are a bit scaled back but you can still get a smile, hello, and cheap drinks/beer here. They don't serve a full menu every day at this time but there is almost always someone willing to be a quick chef if you are in need. You don't have to be a member to stop in, there is a guest sign in sheet just inside the door to keep things "legal". Stop in, say hi, tell the locals where you are from... read full review

VFW's Friday night fish fry is the best deal of the Region. They serve walleye....properly fried....NEVER over fried so not even a tiny morsel of that delicious fish is lost. You get fries with that or a baked potato (wrapped in foil so steamed rather than baked) plus slaw or a salad. The slaw is good also. The meal is very reasonably priced for the quality. No frills ambiance but who cares. Pickup is fast and there is some outside seating.

My husband and I love coming here on Friday's especially during lent for their wonderful fish fry. They have great tasting lake perch. The food is abundant with a salad bar. We always will come here for dinner to enjoy great food, but first and foremost to support our veterans and currently serving military who are our family/friends/neighbors and community members.
