Stay clear of this place! I went here for a check up and cleaning last year. The hygienist began to tell me how great my insurance was and how it was only about around a dollar to have any cavities filled. She then said I had a couple cavities. The dentist came in for the exam and said I had 10 cavities and they also wanted to put sealants on 4 of my teeth. I was in shock! A couple is 10? Needless to say, I got a second opinion today and shockingly my new dentist said my teeth are perfect and that if all of his clients had teeth like mine he would be out of business. My recommendation for everyone is to always get a second opinion (unless you are having issues), cavities are big money! My out of pocket was around $450- because I would have had gas each time (4 visits/each section of my mouth) and sealants aren't covered by insurance if you are over 18. The company was going to make $4750 off of these non-existent cavities.
The quality of work is fine. But I can not get over the fact they OUTSOURCE any calls that come in. You have to go through a third party customer service call center to handle any and all calls for a DENTIST. This mind blowingingly lazy business practice is so ridiculous I could never recommend this place in good faith.
My wife and I both went to Mortenson in New Albany about 3 to 4 years ago. I had to have a new partial made and it was awful. The technician got the molding in my mustache and beard. When the partial came in it didn't fit, it was so tight I got serious headaches and had to take off work for it. The K9 teeth on the partial were too long and protruded, so I bit my lip constantly. I had five refitting appointments and it never resolved the issues. We were moved with our company, so eventually I lived out of town - but this was a four month battle. I never did wear the partial afterward. I wore a broken one until I found a new dentist where we moved. My wife had several fillings done. They dropped the filling down her other teeth and eventually our new dentists had to excavate both sites and redo the fillings. We are not Mortenson fans. My wife said she felt like most of the staff were students being trained....unsure.
