I've had several surgeries at SJRMC. I've had over night stays there as well. I had surgery there today. No one necessarily wants to have surgery but it really helps when it is a good experience. Every single person involved in my care was simply amazing from Jamie, RN to Dr. Folstein to Lindsay the nurse anesthetist to Emerald the OR RN to Christina in post op and everyone in between. My PACU nurse was awesome too but I was in a haze so I don't remember her name. Every single person I've ever dealt with there has been top notch. They are the kind of people you hate to say goodbye to because they treat you like a friend. My most sincere thank you to everyone on my care team today and every other time I've been there. Y'all rock!
This was much needed guidance to a diagnosis I wasn’t sure how I would cope with. Every staff member, including the provider, made me feel very welcomed. My journey with this diagnosis would have looked very different if I didn’t take a leap of faith and seek genetic counseling here. I’m so grateful for this option in Michiana. At the time of my appointments I was already a year into a slew of ruling out genetic possibles and diseases, quite honestly unsure of how I could process this disappointment I felt. Husband had a scheduled surgery today and was so impressed with how quickly we were checked in and taken to a pre-op room. Nurse was super nice and informative. Surgery started precisely on time and was in recovery in no time flat. Best part is that when he was ready to be discharged it took 10 minutes and they were back with his paperwork and out the door we went. Every single staff member was great to us. By far the BEST hospital experience we have ever experienced.
