The locs are tight, but not in a painful way as I am tender headed. They should be tight, so the locs can stay in place longer. Everything she does she lets you know and tells you. From what products are being used, to showing you how much she’ll cut off. I would recommend her to anybody. My hair is beautiful and feels so much healthier leaving there. Finally found my new hair stylist , she may be a perfect fit for you. “I’m a frugal person by nature, but when it comes to haircuts and color, I’ve learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. Valentina did an OUTSTANDING job restoring my teen daughter’s naturally blonde hair after a nightmare experience with dark purple Splat hair color. It’s literally clothing dye and nearly impossible to get out. Another salon only managed to cover it with a dark brown, but as the color faded and her blonde roots grew in, it looked bizarre. Valentina consulted with Jacqui (who is fabulous and I will write another review for her) and my daughter’s faded, half purple and half blonde hair looked intentional after the first visit lol. After the next visit, the remaining purple/pink was barely noticeable. All the salon staff seem to work well together and really enjoy what they do.“
