I loved the environment. As soon as I walked in I felt like I had been going for awhile. Verrell was very professional and understanding with what I wanted done. He also has his own grooming products which is a + in my books

So I am from out of town and was doing some google searches for a barber shop that used a straight razor. I ended up making a reservation with Verrell at District of Art, here in Merrillville,IN. If any one knows... especially those of you in the military that have been deployed and had an awesome barber overseas. Well I found one better. This place especially Verrell had out done themselves. I was expecting a normal haircut...kind of like Bob Ross....instead I received a masterpiece...like Davincis "Mona Lisa". I honestly couldn't ask for a better cut or experience. I will be back for my next haircut as long as I am still in the area.

I went to McFlys after Verrell Kerney left because I just needed a haircut and finally everything opened. The haircut and experience were ok, but it just wasn't the same as before. After that I looked up Verrell Kerney on Facebook because he's by far the best barber I've had, and found his new shop, this one. I came in, was immediately greeted and seated, and all I had to say was "give me the usual". It only took him 25 minute to cut my hair exactly as I wanted and truthfully better than expected. The consistency is the best part, going to super cuts it would always be a different haircut when I come in but here I know what to expect. I recommend this place to anyone,...read full review
