Was set up for an appointment at 11 for Friday, April 9, at my house. My husband was home, and I was at work. Three phone calls came across my desk with three voice-mail around 10:40 but as I am a teacher, I could not return them. When I was able to check at 11:10, I phoned back and told the estimator that the address he had been given was incorrect by one number. He was curt, rude, and abrupt and said that I had already cost him $100 by not meeting on time. It was now 11:19, but he refused to still come by for estimate. I called the business number, and the man who answered was rude. I said I was calling for an estimate for a couple of residential tasks. He immediately responded, "I don't do that kind of work. I only do light plumbing." As if I know the difference between "light" vs. "heavy" plumbing. I described the jobs to him (garbage disposal hook up and shutoff valve replacement), and asked if that was considered heavy or light. He said, "That's heavy plumbing, I don't do that kind of work." Then he hung up. Why bother having a business if you can't manage a 90 second conversation with a potential customer?
