“Can’t recommend this place highly enough! It’s made such a huge, positive difference in my life.“
“I highly recommend The Way Martial Arts. The instructors are highly committed to the students and are incredibly helpful and patient, while also teaching leadership, strength, commitment, knowledge and respect to the fullest extent. They meet you where you are and encourage you to be your best, whether child, adult, or senior. They are like family, and I'm so happy to be a part of it!“
“Thank you for the class. I’m a truck driver stoped in to work out. Very nice coach and students. Liked it“
“My grandson is autistic and lives with challenges. He was accepted into this school and thrives. Focus, patience, care and a sense of belonging are given to him freely. He loves it here“
“I had a foster kiddo who I threw into all the things to allow them experiences of a childhood and to find their niche.Nothing compared to Hernly Family Karate. My kiddo was welcomed with open arms and accepted for who he was.Hernly Family Karate offered nothing but a positive and enriching experience from summer camp to weekly sessions-it was nothing short of perfection.Fantastic communication, affordable and well rounded in all the things. The growth I saw and the smile always present after my kiddo’s weekly session and camps spoke volumes.Thank you Hernly Family Karate for being a hidden gem and giving such a wholesome and wonderful environment for all involved.“
“Our children have been coming to Taekwondo Academy around 3 months and they love it! They have gained confidence and learned so much in a small amount of time. Grand Master Cottee is fun and mixed with tough instruction. Exactly what our kids needed. They can't wait for the next class!“
“Great club. I've gotten more out of training here for a year than I did training for years at other martial arts places. They offer quality instruction in traditional Kodokan Judo rather than merely focusing on strategies for winning competitions. (We do also compete though and members of our club got gold, silver, and bronze at the State Championships recently.) Whether you're interested in Judo for self-defense or just as an artform, this is the place for you. There's also a great deal of emphasis on groundwork here. It's a relatively small club with a relaxed atmosphere.I've got a long way to go and lots of training ahead of me, but I'm confident that Virgil's Judo Club will help me continually improve both as a judoka and a person.“
“Eastside Family Karate provides my two polar opposite kids with valuable lessons that extend beyond karate. My youngest started at age 4 and one of the first things I noticed was the way karate provided discipline and practice following instructions without punishment or a sense of negativity. My son was easily motivated by his sensei’s fun and active approach to instruction. Four years later, karate is as much intellectual as physical for him, providing a growth mindset that he needs. That focus on growth is important for my daughter, too. Karate is a key part of her transformation from a quiet, shy girl who is afraid to do new things to a quiet, shy girl who has as much confidence in her heart and tiny body as she does her mind. We love being part of the community at the Eastside dojo, a very supportive place to learn, be active, and make friends.“
“Fantastic place to do kendo. Sensei Park and Sensei Smith really get to the heart of kendo, and are always willing to take the time to help me learn and improve. Good class mates also, from 7yo on up, they want to help me get better, which makes a difference.“
“I have a ten year old son who has been attending classes at Choi Marital Arts Academy for several years now, and remain very impressed with the structure and training he receives here. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable and skilled, my son has grown a lot in both his physical and emotional abilities because of the training at Choi Martial Arts Academy. I highly recommend them for both Martial Arts classes and their after school program and summer camp programs for anyone needing child care during normal working hours.“
“Two years ago when we needed a meaningful and enriching activity for our 8-year-old son, he began studies at Chung Do Kan Tae Kwon Do. Grand Master Park's Tae Kwon Do program is tailored specifically for kids, and offers a perfect blend of fitness, discipline, and character development. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, my son is learning the fundamentals of the sport and also gaining valuable life skills such as focus, respect, and perseverance. I see my son's growth in confidence and strength both on and off the mats!“
“My daughter has learned alot by going there. She says she has been more social and outgoing. Not only is she learning how to defend herself but she is also learning discipline.“
“I often tell parents, if the way the owner of Geist Martial Arts speaks to his students becomes the way my child speaks to themself, I will be the world’s luckiest parent. GMA doesn’t just teach my child physical fitness and taekwondo technique (which they do well), they focus on grit, endurance, confidence, and respect. Not only that, but they show the kids what honor really looks like by holding events to collect for local food pantries and doing a wonderful job being seamlessly inclusive and respectful with their students with special needs. I have clearly seen the difference in my child’s physical ability and attitude in other areas of life since starting at this studio. I simply cannot say enough about how grateful I am for such a high quality teaching opportunity in my community, it’s 100% worth coming to check it out.“
