I often tell parents, if the way the owner of Geist Martial Arts speaks to his students becomes the way my child speaks to themself, I will be the world’s luckiest parent. GMA doesn’t just teach my child physical fitness and taekwondo technique (which they do well), they focus on grit, endurance, confidence, and respect. Not only that, but they show the kids what honor really looks like by holding events to collect for local food pantries and doing a wonderful job being seamlessly inclusive and respectful with their students with special needs. I really don't have anything extra to add that hasn't already been said. I am beyond grateful to find Geist Martial Arts for my children. The Byrd family and other instructors are genuinely great people, and it's obvious that they care for not only their students, but their community as well. 1000% recommend this location if you are looking for a place to learn taekwondo for your kids or yourself.
The Byrd’s are amazing teachers and people! I took karate for 6 year and it was my favorite sport! Very family-oriented and friendly atmosphere. Its also next to a kroger so you can get groceries while your kids are in class.
