The quality of the house designs combined with the quality of the building materials and construction work has been a boost to the St. Clair Place Neighborhood where I live.
As a business owner on East 10th St we benefit greatly from the work they are doing to improve the neighborhood and increase home ownership.
I think what the East Side Renewal is doing for our neighborhoods is beyond phenomenal. But I don't understand why they are completely gutting some of the homes with many viable parts? I passed a dumpster the other day with 7-8 oak doors thrown in. They will be replaced with hollow core doors which are much lower quality than the original? Years ago, one of our friends found a set of pocket doors in a dumpster that another neighbor ended up using to replace the ones that were stripped out of their home. It seems like a waste of resources?
