“Based on the recommendation of our neighbor who used Carlton for their roof three years ago, we chose Carlton Construction to replace our 23 year old roof as well as install new gutters, downspouts and leaf guards.

On the day of the installation in June 2025, the seven person work crew showed up just a little after 7 AM and by 3 PM, the roofing job was complete. Not only did the crew have to do a tear off of the old roof/install the new roof, they replaced all of my old box vents with ridge vents, updated a dryer exhaust vent, and replaced an old ugly metal fake chimney with a new exhaust vent for the furnace. The new roof is perfect, using extremely high quality shingles, and the crew cleaned up after themselves when finished. It was mentioned to me that the foreman of the crew had been doing roofs since 2003, and it shows - they absolutely knew what they were doing.

Based on Cam's from Carlton's recommendation, we went with black trim, gutters and downspouts to match the roof and it really made our older, 1950s ranch look new. The gutters and downspouts were installed a week after the roof, since it is a separate crew and that type of work cannot be done while the roofers were working.

We are very happy with our new roof, and as a bonus, we notified our insurance company about the new roof (also at Cam's suggestion) and our homeowner's insurance premium dropped 30%.
