We are visiting Fort Wayne. Our dog had been sick for the past month, and we had to make the difficult decision to put her to sleep. My husband called FWPH to schedule this, nervous that we would be judged for our decision, but we were met with nothing but compassion from all the staff involved. They gave us complimentary paw and nose prints for tangible reminders of our beloved dog. We couldn't have asked for a better way to end that chapter of our lives, as difficult as it was. Our thanks to the staff at Fort Wayne Pet Hospital.
Dr Marcus is the best! From our initial frantic meeting many years ago when my puppy had an allergic reaction, to seeing her on the schedule and coming to treat her when we were told to expect another provider near the end of her life. We had moved away between those times and it meant a lot to me that he made my pup feel important to him. I always recommend him to friends looking for a new vet. He's also very down to earth and treats you like an equal.
I started bringing my animals here because the previous veterinarian that I went to only cared about money and not my animals. I guarantee you these doctors and staff care about the animals. I cannot say there is a bad veterinarian or staff member in this place. Their prices are reasonable and they want to do whatever it takes to help the animals. I drive clear across town to come here. The only reason I give it a 4 star is due to the small parking lot. It is very tiny for such a busy and popular place. Also, in coming here you will have to wait. Other than that I would give them a five star. If you're a true animal person this is where you want to bring your animals to just realize you might have a weight but it is so worth it to have somebody that actually cares instead of looking at the $ sign.
