I had a pair of brand new Birkenstock’s repaired here and I could not expect a better result. I’m so satisfied with the outcome of the sandal. I had just bought these $110 Birk sandals for my daughter when less than a week later our puppy chewed right threw the strap. My daughter was so upset. I tried contacting the Birkenstock company to see if they had anywhere I could go to get it repaired and they only offered somewhere out of state (I guess it was the only authorized Birkenstock’s repair place close to me) but essentially they couldn’t help us. I grew up in Ft. Wayne around the corner from Chuck's place but was rarely in need of the place. While visiting my dad, I decided to bring along some leather topped sandals I was thinking about seeing if they could even be repaired. The soles were completely shot with worn heels and cracks through to holes in the ball of the foot. The lining inside at the heels was worn and torn too. Chuck's got them resoled and the lining fixed up and they're as good as new, perhaps even better as the new soles have a better traction pattern and seem to be a more durable material!

I have been a loyal customer of Chuck's Shoe Repair ever since I moved to Fort Wayne in 1983; I took a pair of Bass Weejuns to Chuck to have them re-heeled, thinking that I might be able to get another year or two of wear out of them. Thanks to Chuck I'm still wearing them, almost 40 years later! Chuck's Shoe Repair has taught me that if I buy the best shoes I can afford, and treat them well, they will more than likely live longer than I could ever hope to. Chuck is a master shoe craftsman who stands by his work, prices it fairly, and returns them on time without excuses. It is truly a joy to be a customer of Chuck's Shoe Repair.
