I'm revealing my age when I state the fact I have been utilizing professional tanning bed services since the industry became a thing in the 1980's. The owner of the "A Total Tan" companies, and specifically the Fishers location as my only point of reference, is THE reason I continue to maintain my tan with professional tanning beds. I walked into this tanning salon and simply told them that I wanted a couple tans. I'm nervous about tanning too too much and didn't want a membership. Most places will start treating you differently if you don't want to sign up for the best memberships or have concern. The lady heard me and told me the first tan was free, and then showed me that I can sign up for texts and get another free tan. There was no mention of memberships or pricing or anything. I signed my little waiver and within 5 minutes got into a bed. She also gave me her recommendations, as I burn super easily, and I actually didn't come out burnt! It was super clean and I really liked the vibe of the room! Solely because of this treatment, I'll never go to another tanning salon, and I'm more than happy to come back often and pay full price! I completely understand that businesses need to make money and a profit, but this marketing is better than just handing someone a list of prices and trying to convince them to choose the most expensive one. The kindness and understanding goes a really long way
I don’t often leave reviews because I don’t think about it but I’ve had such great experiences here that I wanted to show appreciation somehow. I’ve been to SO many tanning salons over the years and this is by far the best place I’ve ever been to. I don’t go as often as I’d really like to but the employees usually still remember my name. The owner is so sweet and they really take the time to make sure you have everything you want/need and answer any questions you might have.
