“Welp, I was yesterday years old when I realized cars in today's world run on watch batteries...A discovery made after my son effectively destroyed his key fob in an act of heroically epic clumsiness. As a result, the car wouldn't start and would set off the alarm when opening the doors...which had the added benefit of causing our neighbor's face to contort in expressions of suspicion while periodically peeking out his window.After entirely too much research and phone calls to the dealer that led to a conclusion that it was going to cost over $300 to get another key made, plus the towing fee to get his car to said dealership. Luckily, that sounded reasonable compared to the $2 it used to cost when I grew up.Once I regained consciousness, I decided to call a locksmith based on suggestions I had read from people leaving reviews not unlike the one I'm writing now.Enter Ace Lock & Key Co. After a brief conversation over the phone, using our actual voices (oh, the nostalgia), I was convinced the gentleman was clairvoyant, as he could predict all of my responses to his questions.Then, the most unusual thing happened, a truck with Ace Lock & Key Co. shows up in our driveway EXACTLY at the time the telepath on the phone said it would! I was then greeted by, and conversed with one of the most knowledgeable, yet down to earth technicians I think I've seen (I guess he may have been an AI robot).All said and done, in minutes, my son's car was up and running with a spare key to boot...all for less than half what I was quoted by BigMotorCo, and without having to sell my firstborn to afford towing costs.“
