I sprained my knee six months ago and after seeing my regular doctor and getting an x-ray and my knee not getting better I decided to go to OrthoIndy since they are in my insurance network. I called Ortho three times trying to get a cost estimate as to how much my visit would cost. No one was able to give me an estimate. Two people referred me to the billing office who told me they don't set prices they just bill whatever Ortho tells them to. I am a long way from meeting my deductible so the total cost is coming out of my pocket. I called one last time and asked for a callback and never got one. Community East quoted me $123 for a visit so I'm going there.
I have always had great experiences with Ortho Indy in the past. Their physical therapy at Brownsburg did not disappoint! The front desk staff is friendly when I check-in. The therapist and therapist assistant have been nothing but helpful and kind. They have pushed me gently and encouraged me through my sessions. Many times with large facilities you can get lost in their system. I have never had that issue here.
Originally saw a NP Jake who was very helpful etc. He advised PT. Long story short, I found out today that I have to choose the place then they will try to get it covered by Insurance. Once ifound this out by calling OrthoIndy she transferred me to his office to see if I should reschedule. After being transferred to Donna who didn't even listen to me she transferred me vack to the original person who then transferred me back to Donna's area. OMG, the next person kept interrupting and wouldn't let me finish. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATED especially after being on jokd ecery time I was transferred i did say a cuss word and asked her to stop interrupting and LISTEN to me. I understand that customers can be very rude in this climate, I work in CS BUT some customer service person are just rude, interrupting, not listening, transferring you without saying anything etc etc. That being said, some people should not be in CS or need more training. I will not go back to see him even though he was good because the staff leaves a lot go be desired.I would recommend the NP I saw but not the office personnel.
