My border collie was written off as aging and arthritic at our previous vet. I was increasingly unhappy with their services and switched all of my animals to Town & Country, where they immediately discovered my BC’s torn ACL and concerning liver levels from the medication prescribed at the other vet. They referred him to M.A.S.C. for surgery and he is as good as new. We couldn’t be more thankful to the wonderful staff who took the time to listen to us and look into our concerns. They’ve been great with all of the dogs and have our loyalty for sure!
What an incredible vet practice! I was visiting from out of state with a frail and premature newborn kitten who suddenly aspirated and was struggling to breathe. They fit her in and saw her 30 minutes prior to closing on a Friday evening, just before closing for a holiday weekend. Unfortunately she had to be humanely euthanized, but the office staff and vet couldn’t have been more compassionate & caring! To top it off, they didn’t even charge me for the euthanasia. If I lived locally I would definitely choose this vet practice!!!
Dr. Shake is a good veterinary GP and I have trusted him with my 3 dogs, after having highly negative experiences with some other vets. He and his staff are communicative, generally returning calls within a day for questions. Price is reasonable and I have had no reason to question his judgment even in complex circumstances. I have not experienced too much of a wait from the scheduled appointment time. It is frustrating that he does not have more urgent care options for known patients, but I understand that this is a 1-vet practice. Unfortunately, there is a dearth of high quality walk-in providers in Bloomington.
