I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Rachel James at Furry Friends Vet in Bloomington. She is, without a doubt, the best veterinarian my cat Benjamin (Benji) and I have ever met. When Benjamin was struggling with a severe illness, persistent skin lesions, and ongoing allergies, we were terrified and desperate for answers. Then I met Dr. James, truly a magician in the world of veterinary care.

Furry Friends has helped me in so many ways with all of my high-maintenance cats. I appreciate their last-minute emergency help as well! Both vets have been super kind to my kids. It is worth getting on their waiting list to be a patient! I'm lucky to have found them after moving here.
We take our kitty here. Very friendly folks, excellent vets. BUT, if you need prescription food here's the deal. They take forever to bring you your cans/dry food (lots of computer clicking and staring at screens, going back, coming out, going back again). They charge premium prices. If you ask for the prescription so you can order it from someone else, they'll give it to you BUT 1) It takes at least 24 hours, they won't scan and email/text it, you have to physically go back for it AND (this is my fave) they CHARGE YOU $10.00 for the privilege of giving you your prescription.
