My primary OB/GYN referred me to an MFM doctor for a follow up ultrasound after two unsuccessful attempts in their office of obtaining clear photos of baby’s heart. I reached out to this office by phone after running into insurance coverage issues with my office’s initial suggestion. I found the receptionist to be supportive and helpful in answering questions regarding my insurance. I was told the ultrasound would be covered, but that if a fetal echocardiogram was needed that would be an out of pocket expense (which I understood). I’m not sure what the point of this office is. Everything is “Maybe/ maybe not, our machine can’t tell and we will refer you somewhere else.” They’re here to make your pregnancy stressful. Next time I’m pregnant I will do my care with some tribe in the jungle.
