Todd had excellent suggestions throughout the process from the wording of the obituary to the setup of the visitation. His primary motivation was to be as helpful as possible to me during this difficult situation which was my first time having to coordinate a loved one's death.“

No one wants to plan a funeral, but they made the process stress-free and added thoughtful touches that made the service truly special. The banquet-hall style room suited my father so much more than a traditional space, and the catering area, and overflow spaces gave our family room to gather comfortably. A beautiful slideshow, table for family photos and artifacts, and a Bluetooth speaker for my dad’s favorite songs turned the atmosphere into more of a celebration of life than a somber occasion.

The team’s attention to detail was amazing, from providing wheelchairs and walkers when needed, to coordinating everything seamlessly on the day of. The building itself is lovely, with ample parking, so it was very easy for our guests.

Most of all, Phillip’s professionalism and kindness stood out, even as he took my family’s offbeat humor in stride during such a difficult time. I would choose Montclair-Lucania and Phillip again without hesitation. Thank you for making such a hard moment feel easier, and for honoring my father so beautifully.“

“Sometimes help can come from unexpected places.
Started with Illinois, Cook County Deaths, 1871-1998 for a 2-12-1977 death. It provided the cemetery and funeral home. Left two voice mails at the cemetery over a two-week period for grave location. No calls back. Did a search on the Archdiocese of Chicago website. No results. Phoned Archdiocese of Chicago. They searched; no results. Phoned the funeral home. Spoke with Mia who cautioned me because of the age of the record, she may not be able to confirm the cemetery. Mia phoned back. No results. I emailed her the IL Cook County Death record. She phoned the same cemetery I left two voicemails at. They told her they had no record of the burial. Mia assured me she'd continue to look. Within a few minutes, Mia phoned back with good news! Her manager, Timothy, accessed old burial records available online although not available to the public. He found the name and gravesite location at the cemetery that claimed they had no record of the burial.
Because of the great service provided by Mia and Timothy, I would be happy to recommend Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home to family and friends.
