I always heard Zarzycki was great and now I know. I used the one in Willow Springs. Every single thing was handled to perfection. KB would have have loved it. “My family and I had been looking for a large size funeral home. After looking at a few we came across Szykowny funeral homes. As soon as we walked in we felt such peace. This place is beautiful and calm. The director, Jonathan is just the most sweetest, most helpful, patient and understanding man. I know it’s his job but he really took the time to go through everything with us and made sure to make our arrangements perfect. We definitely felt more than just his clients and through these difficult times he made everything so smooth and easy.
I would say the only negatives were on the actual night of the wake he was not there but had a friend be there. She didn’t seem to know what she was doing. The mic didn’t work and she didn’t know how to fix it. Also, she started cleaning like an hour and a half before our end time. I have a large Hispanic family and they brought lots of food so I guess I can understand why she started thinking we wouldn’t end on time. But I told her my family would clean. She did apologize and stop but it irritated me at the moment. And the last annoying thing was ordering the death certificate afterwards. Erika made a mistake and ordered the wrong one so we had to wait another week.
I would definitely say that the pros outweighed the cons. Highly recommend this place.“

My mom was in a nursing home suffering from dementia. When she passed I was heartbroken and honestly nervous about the next steps. I made an appointment to meet with someone from the funeral home. Not having a specific funeral home our family uses, we met with a few different places. Everybody seemed incredible, but Becvar and Son stood out to all of us. From the second we met them they were kind, genuine, and not pushy in the slightest. We told them we had a couple other meetings and they were more than understanding. After the meetings, we decided to go with Becvar. It’s a family owned funeral home, and every single member of the family is kind, genuine, caring and accommodating.
