Old fashioned candy store and soda shop. Get your own homemade pop drink concoctions! Marshmallow coke, anyone? Penny candy (well, used to be a penny...) and every other kind of candy. Plus ice cream and more. Kids love it! Adults too.

While traveling I 39 if you find your self looking for a place to pull of the highway to treat the kids for good behavior (or satisfy your adult sweet tooth) Kim's Sweet Shop is the place for you. I pulled in on a hot summer day with a couple of preteens who wanted some DQ, needless to say I put a nix on that and treated the youngsters to some local flavor. We thought we were just rolling the dice on grabbing some ice cream little did we know that we walked into a full candy store loaded with all the treats of memories past, Big League Chew, Pop Rocks, five cents candy bins, you get the idea. We stayed on task and only ordered what we came for, some fresh chocolate malts & shakes. The shakes were smooth and rich while the malts where thick and delicious, with frozen treats this good we all fell victim to an ice cream headache or two. Needless to say the next time we pass by Kim's Sweet shop is on our detour list.
