I found Bernhardt Restoration through Angi and Atilio had reached out within a couple of hours on a Sunday to learn more about the project and was onsite taking a look within 48 hours. His team spent a whole day Sunday doing asbestos removal to get the job done. “Hi! I had a sewer backup in my townhouse unit. There is a separate room that has the main sewer for all 4 units in my building. I don’t know how long the sewer was backed up for, I only discovered it because my basement wall started leaking. The plumbers said the clog was due to trying to flush wipes. After the clog was fixed, Kevin and his team from Giertsen Company of Illinois came in. Boy did they have work to do. The room was completely disgusting -- the floor had standing sewer water, there were wipes on the floor that had caused the clog, the sewer water crept up the walls and the dry wall was all wet. You could hardly breathe in that room. Kevin and his team did amazing work! Everything was clean and sanitized. He had all of the wet dry wall cut out. He came to my unit and sanitized where the sewage was leaking in. I appreciate all of his hard work!

It has been a couple of weeks now and new dry wall has been put in. Everything is still so nice and the smell is gone. I wanted to let Kevin’s supervisors know what a great worker they have. He was very personable and explained everything to me. He assured me it would be taken care of and it was!!
