It’s like moving to a prison you only get 10 minute phone calls, etc. you cannot leave when you wish, you have mandatory meetings. I was one of the kids that never tried drugs, etc I was literally only there because my parents weren’t parents. And I struggled and suffered. I’m 27 now married 8 years three kids. I volunteered for the first time this weekend at the Children's home. The staff is so nice and wonderful. I am so inspired by the staff and the volunteers that show up. This place is hope for children. It's also hope for the parents to reconnect with their children again. Someday I'm hoping that I can work in the refugee area, but for now I'm really enjoying the events that I will be able to help at. Since the pandemic happened everything is slowly opening back up but it's totally worth it coming to volunteer.
