Thank you!! We recently had to make the decision to let our Chi Chi go, this little girl abandoned (2011 )came into me and my kids life at the most needed time, she needed us, and we needed her. As time went on, this little feisty chihuahua started to decline more and more.. Laketown helped us make that life assessment decision and gave us such ample time alone with her to grieve and say good bye. Thank you all Laketown staff ❤️
We had to help our beloved, elderly dog Hank to the Long Sleep yesterday after a recent, aggressive recurrence of cancer that was already beyond medical help by the time the symptoms became evident. Although we are of course deeply grieving his loss, we are profoundly grateful for the doctors, techs and front office staff at Laketown for making a difficult day as comforting as possible. We have had to say goodbye to 3 elderly rescue dogs now, and Hank's passing today was by far the noblest, gentlest and most dignified one we've had to endure. Every step of the way, we (both the two- and four-legged members of our family) were treated with nothing but the utmost compassion, dignity, transparency, empathy and understanding. Laketown (deservedly) has an excellent reputation for quality veterinary, boarding and grooming care, and I am here to attest that even in the most difficult of circumstances, there is no other team in town in whose hands we'd place our sweet puppy dog than Laketown's. When we feel ready to bring another rescue into our lives again, we'll be back for many happy years of vet and boarding care at Laketown, but until then, as we heal from Hank's goodbye, we will take great comfort in the stellar care we received.
We love Laketown for grooming!! Lenny is not the easiest to groom and he’s a big boy. He has been to many groomers and his last one told me they wouldn’t do him anymore because he is scared of the razors and scissors and tries to bite it. Nyx is our saving grace! I was able to get him on the proper medication to make it safe for him and Nyx. She is so patient with him and he’s come a long way since she first gave him a chance. When he use to go to the groomers, he would always come back with ear infections (they would let the water go down into his ears) but I can tell Nyx is very compassionate and takes her time with him 🩵 thank the lord we found her!! The staff is always friendly too.
