“I broke a tooth two days ago, and I was terrified because I have horrible memories of the dentist from when I was a child so every time I have to go I panic. So many people on the Antioch Facebook page, including my niece recommended that I go see Dr. Wood. I am so happy I went to see him today. The tooth was not as bad as I thought it was. He was able to smooth it over and I am able to go back and get a crown next month. They were so nice and friendly and funny and I even got a hug. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Wood is and all of his staff. I highly recommend them and this is from someone who has childhood trauma even at 56 years old. I smiled, laughed and talked the whole time and did not have any nervousness or anxiety at all. Thank you Doctor Wood for being an amazing person and excellent, pain free dentist! “My daughter recently got braces here and we were/are very happy with the friendly/knowledgeable staff. We are always greeted with a smile and the wait is minimal for appointments. The waiting area is nice with some games available for the kiddos. Wi-Fi available if you need to work while your child is in the chair! They are very upfront with pricing and willing to work on payment plans if you so choose. Thank you!“

“Had a tough extraction of a large molar. The dentist was professional and quick. In and out in roughly an hour. No pain beyond the needle for the novacaine. No pain during the procedure and was a relatively complex operation with the tooth coming out in broken pieces. Very little pain afterwards this is the next day and its managable with tylenol/ibuprofen. Service was excellent and honest. I would trust these folks in my mouth again.“

A lot of people mention pricing- Dental work is nothing to play around with and paying a fair price is valid for their work and your safety. The service- both dentist and receptionist were amazing. “Trust me, They are a great dentist office! Let me say this, Dr. Dan Boarini is an amazing dentist and such a genuine person. I am disabled and was in dire need of 2 root canals, and full upper and lower partials due to severe teeth issues my whole life. Dr. Dan not only got me out of pain, but he also got my smile back. And what's even more amazing than that, I went through the Illinois Donated Dental Lifeline Services group for people who are disabled and unable to afford proper dental care. Ms. Lisa who works for the Donated Dental Services reached out to 7-10 dentist in the McHenry county area and no-one wanted to help. Dr. Dan donated his dental services to me for free. He is a truly amazing person. I can't thank him enough for all that he has done for me and continues to do. So let me say this, if you need help? If you have dental issues and fear the dentist office? Go see this place. The staff up front, the Hygienist, the assistants, everyone especially Dr. Dan, are truly amazing, welcoming and kind people. Don't hesitate and if your reading this review, don't let any non-positive reviews steer you away from a great dentistry office. Trust me, they restored my self confidence. I love these people. “So I don't normally have super strong positive feelings about a doctor's office, especially a dentist/oral surgeon . In fact I have the most extreme phobia of dental work, people touching my teeth, loose teeth etc.
18 years ago a had a tooth pulled after an injury the cracked my tooth, chipped all my front teeth and loosened my bottom teeth. I had to have a metal plate (mandolin bridge) put behind bottom front teeth to provide stability. Well that was only supposed to last 5 years or so but it was still here. Now it started coming off gradually over the past 11 years or so but I was terrified to get it checked since the first experience was so traumatizing.
So it was past due, all the bottom teeth were loose and it was only a matter of time until I bit into something and a tooth cracked or came out. So I couldn't put it off anymore. I found an excellent dentist who removed the bottom 4 teeth and now needed to find an oral surgeon for implants.
I researched, met a couple of surgeons and decided on McHenry Dental Specialties in McHenry, Dr Sbigoli. Prior to my procedure he explained everything as well as all of my options. He explained extra precautions he would take to ensure I would be happy with the results. The front desk girls, especially Shelley took numerous and I mean numerous calls from me to answer all my questions and calm my fears before the procedure. I found that not only did I need the posts but also a bone graft. Well I had the bone graft done on February 14th and Dr Sbigoli and the ENTIRE STAFF were beyond EXCELLENT! They handled me with such compassion, patience and kindness. During the entire process I was made very comfortable. Dr Sbigoli and his staff followed up with me several times over the past 6 months. We did normal checks on the healing and any time I had a concern they always made me feel supported in my concerns. They said they would be there for me and they really were!
Next month I get the posts and I know that everyone has me covered. Dr Sbigoli and his staff are outstanding and can help you with any of your oral surgery needs. I know I will never go anywhere else!!!“
