I am new to massages (only ever had one before) so I was a bit uncomfortable with the process.Dana was very accomodating and thoughtful throughout my time there. She answered all my questions, avoided any areas as requested, and held a pleasant conversation.while I cant report how I feel just yet since im sore, Dana was very intune with finding and resolving some pesky areas.The last place I got a massage a year ago felt like they were really pushing me to spend and spend, but here I felt no pressure to make sacrifices for the business. Dana seemed just happy to help me whether this is my only visit, or I become a regular. She did not push any add ons during my session, nor insisted I book several follow ups.Overall, I would highly recommend this small business. Dana was very kind and capable, and she let me experience a massage at my own pace. “I reached out to Anna at salon Gia about a year ago now and have been doing consistent 6-8 week hair trims and conditioning treatments and trying different products together as my hair DRASTICALLY changed. Still to this day I have no idea why my hair puffed out so bad but I do know I felt very ugly and defeated. I had spent so much money and time before meeting Anna. I visited 2 other salons that just heard I wanted to dye my hair more then I wanted to fix my hair health so I accidentally let them as I didn't know that lighting my hair 2-3 times a year would over process my hair. I still want my hair lighter but Anna is a real MVP and refuses to lighten it till we get it healthy again. She could have easily just kept lightening it to make more money but she understands the true beauty in taking care of her clients. I used to use suave as shampoo and conditioner and took 30 min showers most. Now I have a whole new knowledge and routine for my hair(I wish my showers were shorter still as they are about 45-55 mins). Anna is a real life saver as I was super depressed about it. I'm not a girly girl. I don't wear makeup, I don't wear nice shoes or clothes but I always had a soft spot for my hair. I am so grateful Anna took the time to have a consultation with me and figure out my hair journey together. Highly recommend her establishment!!“

“On a neighbor’s recommendation, I went here for a hair cut + no-chip-gel nail polish removal and was so impressed with both services. It was the best gel removal experience. Lynn was gentle, methodical and kind to my nails. The hair cut was fantastic - she knew exactly what to do with long, curly hair. I already made a follow up appointment for my next trim. Great vibe and atmosphere too. Happy to have found my new hair place!“

“Visiting here and bringing my parents and Cousin when they visited was such a treat. Gina has the softest hands you've ever felt. You melt in the ambiance. I loved every bit of it. I gave my mom a facial and body scrub that she still talks about after so long. Update: I treated my sister to the body scrub when she visited. She said to me after she came out, "Sis, this is a before marriage to do list. My skin is so smooth." Worth it!“

“It depends on who you have to attend to your hair, nails, face and body. It is definitely a salon covering vanity and more for all ages and genders. The women there are not pretentious. The only thing I would appreciate is to have those doing facial and massages to please not eat garlic foods. It is difficult to avoid when these services are up close and personal.“

“I had an appointment at 6:30pm. I was called by the salon to reschedule my appointment to 4:30pm. I agreed. I got there at 4:25pm just to be told 20min after they had double booked the slot. They "thought" I canceled my appointment. The lady at the front desk just continued to look at me, not the other person who was doubled book but me. One of us had to offer to wait or reschedule. I'm not upset at the mistake, but the behavior and body language from the front staff towards myself. I'm very disappointed I was expected to accommodate myself a second time for the establishment. The nail technician apologized once I showed proof of my appointment, but it shouldn't have gotten that far.

They have good staff, but their scheduling team is not good. Their website is not friendly, either.“

“Today, I had an incredible appointment. I booked a massage at a place in Grayslake called the Center of Serenity with Dina Becker Massage Therapy & Esthetics owner. I will tell you this, IT WAS THE MOST INCREDIBLE thing I could have done in the form of self care for myself. Many people say it is not a need, I am here to attest that it most certainly is. Being stressed empties your cup and daily obligations drain your cup. If you cup is empty YOU CAN NOT BE who you are meant to be. You can not function to your true potential with an empty vessel.When I left there, I felt so relaxed and grounded. I choose the 90 min Rain Drop Method. There are others you can choose from as well. I CAN SAY it was incredible. I feel amazing and recharged.I want you all to know this is an unsolicited review, and I wanted to do this because I know many of you out there are in the same boat I was feeling overwhelmed overworked and stressed, and overwhelmed for many reasons and also just the holiday stress in general. If you are searching for a gift for the person who has everything consider this!! I am pretty sure most anyone would welcome a gift certificate as a gift.“
