My husband and I had been receiving quarterly maintenance on our furnace and a/c units from a large service company in the area. Over the time the repairs started to become more expensive. Yesterday we were told there was a carbon monoxide leak and were showed a picture of a hole in our furnace’s heat exchanger. As the unit was old it would not have made sense to repair it and the company provided us several quotes that were suspicious, quite high and offered very little detail. We decided to get a second opinion and alternate quote from Joel. I can’t tell how lucky we were to have had him come out and look at the unit. There is a reason why Joel has consistent 5 star reviews across the board, could not have asked for a better experience.I asked Joel come out to check on our home's furnace and perform any preventative maintenance that may need to be done prior to winter coming. He is extremely communicative, was on time, he and his helper were very nice, professional, and worked efficiently. He was in and out in under an hour.He walked me through at the end what work was done, what needed to maybe be looked at in the future, and was realistic about what I COULD spend money on if I wanted to but did not try to sell me on any services or upsells that would be redundant or unnecessary... read full review
