My daughter has had such a difficult time getting her hair right after her freshman year of college. It got all messed up, not sure if it was the change in diet, water, stress or what. since then, we've really had a rough go of getting the color and texture right. My daughter saw Brittany at the salon yesterday who had great suggestions for what to do to 'smooth' things out and brighten her up, she looks fabulous! Today, she keeps commenting how happy she is with her hair. I can tell it has been a great confidence booster and I'm thrilled to see that she has the pep back in her step. Thank you Brittany, we are thankful for you!

I don't know how many men go to Shear Pleasure, but I know I've seen some there in the past. So, this review is mainly for men who are curious what it's like to get their hair cut in a salon. For many, many years I went to walk-in barbers. I've been taking my mother every Saturday for the last few months. Since COVID, I have been using a home haircut set to clipper my hair very short. Since I typically spend a while waiting, and I really needed a haircut, I asked if anyone could take a walk-in and what they charged for a men's cut. Before getting into what my cut was like, my mother is really particular about her hair. She lives in Deerfield so this is a bit of a trek - I need to drive from Palatine to pick her up, drive back to Shear Pleasure, then back to Northbrook. But since she is so happy about the way she looks when she leaves, it is well worth it. The cut was $30, a little more than what I typically spend, but I was there, have a holiday party tonight, and they did have someone free. It was fate. Kim took me and asked how I wanted it cut. After chatting for a few minutes she went to work on me. The cut didn't take long, but I have to admit, I don't think my hair has looked better in a very long time. I was very happy with her performance and how nice she was. I already know the staff is always very accommodating. I've found a new place to get haircuts going forward. Shear Pleasure earned a new customer today.
