I keep re-reading Wil J's horribly shortsighted review and I cannot fathom what his beef is with Tom. Had Hummingbird install a 8.55kwv solar array and the system is already outproducing our anticipated output for winter expectations. Perhaps If William did a bit more initial research, he'd realize that 2.5kwv max on a 3k system is not abnormal. In fact if he's getting that as an average in the Chicago area, that's actually a decent output. Getting a reasonable ROI for solar is very difficult in Illinois for a dozen + reasons and you can't blame the installer if you can't figure that part out.
