It was a horrible experience and they told me I didn't have the right kind of hair for the extensions. I found Rayven through a neighborhood friend and it changed everything. She made me my own extensions to work in my hair which is very fine and thin. She is a genius and extremely knowledgeable, not to mention very sweet and truly cares. “Nikki's awesome. She didn't outright laugh when I told her I wanted "the Rachel" lol which I figured she'd do after I left and treated me like I was an interesting person. I know it's her job to cut hair but she doesn't make it seem like it's just a job. She seems genuinely interested in my life (which she doesn't have to do) and it's a fun experience overall. I'm an awkward person but she makes it so it's not awkward. My hair used to be halfway down my butt, and even though I loved my hair long, it was time. I love my haircut. “Changing hairstylists is something I find hard to do as there are many years vested in a relationship. Several friends recommend Martha, so I set up an appointment. The salon is located in the heart of downtown Oswego with plenty of free parking readily available. The salon is modern, bright airy and extremely clean. Martha began our appointment with a rather in depth consultation. It was refreshing to be asked what I liked, didn't like and more. When it came time to actually wash, cut and style my hair it felt like we had a mutual plan of action. To make a long story short.... Extremely happy with the new look thanks to Martha. My wife was impressed with Martha's attention to detail that she has an appointment with her too.“

“Sama was extremely nice and fun to talk to. She was excited, for it was her first time ever in a salon. I enjoyed talking with her. She said she would be traveling and wanted a braid that would last several days. I gave her some ideas on braids that would last a little longer. Sama chose the dutch braid. However, because she'd never been to a salon, she didn't have any knowledge of how to treat the condition of her hair. Performing the braid on her hair was extremely difficult. Her hair tangled up very badly with each stand of hair I pulled. I had to hold the braid and detangle her hair through each section of the braid. I used several products to try and smooth the hair. But what she really needed was a clarifying and deep conditioning treatment. I have been doing all different types of braids for a long time, and I am proud of my work. I'm sad Sama felt dumb. I would be happy to further educate her with some products to help the condition of her hair and redo her hair next time with a different type of braid. Below are just a few braids I have done.“
