I wouldn't recommend bringing your pet here if they refuse to get out of their crate or are a bit difficult to handle. My cat gets scared at the vet and won't come out the crate so you have to grab her out of it but they wouldn't even try to grab her. When i brought her to get her nails done they wouldn't do them unless I paid $300 to gas her which is ridiculous when they could've just wrapped her in a towel like my new vet clinic does. They have no patience. My cat isn't even aggressive she just gets scared, sometimes growls and squirms out of the vets hands which ends with a scratch if you don't handle her with a towel. They wouldn't even put her back in her crate and asked me to. Once they even wanted me to bring my cat into the gas room when they could've brought her in the crate. They tried to put her on calming medication before the visits but it didn't work well. Once they even refused to cut her nails because she was squirming & being "aggressive". My cat has also got fleas from this clinic, I know this because she's an indoor cat and I noticed fleas the day after we took her to the vet. I wonder what this place does with big, aggressive dogs since they can't handle a 10 pound cat. My new vet is so sweet to my baby, he's very patient with her and takes her out the crate with a towel, when she starts to growl he stops doing what he's doing and pets her to calm her down then tries again 5/10 minutes later. He is very patient with her and easily cuts her nails, gives her a thorough exam & her shots without the need to drug her. He also puts her back in her crate when we are finished and if she starts to growl or squirm he pets her and tries again a few minutes later. I do not recommend this place.

Words cannot even express how grateful I am that I found Dr. Porcelli. He treats my cat as if she were his own and my 16 year old little girl has never purred at a vets office, but loves him. He is kind, gentle and explains everything. If I could give him 100 stars I would.

Thank you Dr. Porcelli, from me and Gianna!

Had my first and last ever appointment with Animal Medical Center today. I had a free initial vet appointment/fecal exam with this place as it was included in the adoption fee for my cat. Before coming, I checked reviews online and saw loads of bad reviews on here, and went into the appointment knowing that I would do everything I could to not allow them to do more than just a fecal exam (a handful of the reviews on here mention having bad experiences with shots, etc. and I just knew I didn't want to mess around with that before taking her to a better vet). Staff behind the desk were friendly, for the most part. After I sat down/left the desk, all of them started gossiping about a client that they hate... real warm welcome, lol. As another reviewer already mentioned, Dr. Amy Rose is horrible. She was extremely rude. I waited over an hour for her to come into the exam room, and once she got in there she didn't say more than 10 sentences to me in total. I've had years of experience with pets growing up, but this is my first time being an actual, independent pet owner and having my own cat. I was so nervous for our initial appointment that I mistakenly forgot to bring a copy of her paperwork in my hurry to make it to the clinic on time- a stupid mistake that I completely own up to. In light of that mistake, Dr. Rose had such a bad attitude with me. For some reason she still agreed to examine my cat despite not having a copy of her records/vaccinations, which was not my choice.... I would have been okay with waiting until they had received the files for her to begin examining, or any alternative course of action (they didn't bother to check with me), but instead she chose to proceed anyway and shoot passive aggressive remarks at me about how she (my 3 going on 4 month old kitten) probably isn't old enough to have even been vaccinated for rabies yet. Yeah, no s*** she's not- why are you examining her when I only brought her in for a fecal test, then? Why are you examining her without having a copy of her paperwork? The lack of paperwork is my fault but your attitude is not my fault in the slightest. I was able to make contact with people at home and get copies of my girl's paperwork sent in via email within minutes- quick fix for the honest mistake. They printed out the files shortly after- all within a fraction of the amount of time that I sat around waiting for Dr. Rose to begin with. Dr. Rose's "exam" entailed picking up my cat on the exam table and looking at her for 15 seconds, if even that long, then saying "ok, she looks good" and leaving the room without further comment. Then she disappeared for the fecal exam. Came back in a while later and hastily said "she has roundworm". No context/explanation... I learned more about roundworm in the time that I sat waiting for Dr. Rose to come back, googling "roundworm" on my phone, than I did from anything she said to me. She didn't explain anything at all about symptoms, etc. No explanation of anything whatsoever. Gave her some meds without permission/explanation, and I had to specifically ask myself to find out what the medicine is that she administered. In all, she didn't spend more than 5 minutes in the exam room with me and my cat. She left the room faster than I could blink- no "do you have any questions/concerns?", just a blunt "there's no checkout needed so you can leave now." I did leave- and I will not be coming back.
