Sunday morning at around 10am, I called Lloyd from Washington DC. My Great Aunt passed peacefully in her sleep and we wanted to bring her home to Illinois.Lloyd was in the middle of filming his new hearse in St. Louis. Lloyd stopped the filming and took time to listen and help. He took care of EVERYTHING. He contacted a local funeral home in DC to help with the arrangements to take my Aunt from the Assisted Living and get her ready for the flight back to IL. Upon arrival at O'Hare, Lloyd made arrangements to pick her up and prepare for the funeral. I know a lot went on but me and the family let Lloyd do all the work. Lloyd Mandel handled my in-laws funerals. He and his staff were very kind and thoughtful. My in-laws' funerals were arranged to hold them in the synagogue seamlessly according to our wishes.
