“The staff at LA fitness on Touhy are very friendly and helpful. The club is clean. I enjoy working out there. Unfortunately their stair machines are broken(non usable) quite often. Sometimes only 2 or 3 are available. There are enough of other cardio machines so not a big deal. I recommend LA Fitness on Touhy.“
“The instructors do a great job of helping us connect with our sensuality and sense of self worth!“
“I'm very grateful to the folks at the Movement Guild! I was referred to them by a neurologist after having some mysterious neck pain and dizziness issues and they have been enormously helpful in better understanding and working to improve those issues. They have been easy and flexible to work and schedule with and at least with insurance very affordable too!“
“Centered is perfectly named because I always feel so at peace after taking a yoga class here. The space is inviting and cozy and the instructors are kind and supportive. There are plenty of options depending on your schedule. Such a gem!“
“I love this studio! I’ve been to many yoga studios all over the city, and still prefer classes here to all the others. Their instructors are knowledgable, prepared, and offer variations as well as correction (as needed) so you don’t accidentally push yourself too far / get hurt. The classes are also consistently great - I haven’t been disappointed by any of their classes. In addition, the studio is clean and has great amenities (e.g., water, towels, locks on their lockers, etc.).“
“TruFit is friendly, supportive, well equipped and demanding in a good way. I tell my friends- personal training is key to aging while retaining strength, balance and muscle mass. Tony is my person but they are all great. I will work out here through my eighties- which will be 30 years!“
“I just did a chair yoga with Laurie F. I haven’t done yoga for a long time so I’m pretty creaky. This was the perfect class. It was low impact yet my muscles felt warm and loose afterward , including my shoulders and neck ( which are always tight). Laurie is an excellent instructor, with a calm and friendly demeanor. The shop in the studio is filled with cute clothes and knickknacks and holistic health supplies . It’s bright and cheery and clean. I highly recommend coming here.

“My favorite yoga studio I’ve been to in Chicago. The studio clearly cares about their students and prioritizes creating an inclusive and supportive environment. All the teachers I’ve taken classes with have been great and they all are willing to work with students individually during classes to help us advance our practice.“
“I joined Spin Studio in the 4th trimester to shed some baby weight and to feel like my old self again. This was a kick start to hitting my goals and it has been really fun. Julie has built a great community that welcomes and supports new members.“
“Tony is a highly skilled practitioner of healing bodywork, but he is so much more. He treats the whole person, including body and mind, with an empathetic and intuitive sense of what you need. It is truly an experience unlike any other that I've had, and I have become a repeat client. Tony seems to be helping me to find a better balance in my life. This guy is amazing, and I highly recommend him!“
“Alex is a wonderful instructor! She scaffolds the yoga movements beautifully for us beginners, but also gives options for the more advanced. Thank you, Alex!“
“The services offered by MSI are wonderful! Billie is such an intuitive individual. The space is so very warm and welcoming. Everybody at MSI is always very pleasant and I love coming here.“
“The best teacher I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Mr. Suddha Weixler will open your mind's eye, and bring a new perspective to your practice.“
“Thank you, Rachel, for answering my question about yoga. It is not just about physical fitness--you stressed it is a practiced discipline that includes the integration of the body, spirit, and mental activity. As you stressed, yamas are the moral guidelines of yoga. The yamas represent a series of "right living" or ethical rules within Yoga philosophy. Their practice influences our relationships with others and with ourself. I particularly was interested in learning more about Aparigraha. the last Yama in Pantanjali's Eight Limbs of Yoga. The term translates to "non-greed" or "non-possessiveness". The virtue of Aparigraha helps us learn to take what is necessary and to take no more than is needed. I found the following link to be invaluable:“
“Ashley is such an intentional woman. Alongside Chelsea, Hannah (who leads a great yoga flow my sisters & i attended), & the rest of their team...just thrilled to have an establishment like this in North Center (& around the corner from home ?). I'm so excited to keep attending their classes as I go back on my fitness journey.“
“Yoga studio full of heart and soul with inspiring teachers. Carlie especially has infectious passion for the practice, her insights and words of wisdom during class take the yoga experience to another level - a true sign of a talented yoga teacher. I also appreciated the assists during class. I felt safe, inspired and filled with a sense of calm and peace. Very grateful for studios like this.“
“RSH has been great for me. I started my journey last year and have found a great trainer and community. Definitely peak your head in and try out a class and or personal training. Russell is my GUY!“
“Great staff. Really friendly. Very organized. Sometimes studios feel “stuffy”. I feel this studio is very welcoming. Patient while showing you all the correct poses.“
“I've belonged to many gyms, and have been at many different stages in my fitness and health journey, and no place has felt as welcoming as BodiShak has. I joined about 7 months ago, and have been working on a routine that works for me and my work schedule. I love the variety of classes, and the times they are offered - strength training, HIIT, cycling, yoga, and more! - and every coach I've met and worked with is encouraging, responsive, and invested in your success, pushing you to be your best and providing modifications as needed. I look forward to my classes at BodiShak, and leave each class feeling energized and good about myself - even if I'm exhausted and my muscles are sore and tired afterwards, lol. Toni is fantastic, and has created a vibe that is warm and welcoming, carefully curated and meaningful to smooth workouts.“
“Dr. Carol McGough is a real professional who really knows what she is doing! She gave me my first adjustment today, and helped me with problems I’ve had for years! I highly recommend her!!“
“Beautiful space and peaceful vibe. I especially enjoy Rita's Restorative practice on Sunday afternoons. After her class I feel like I have just had a massage!“
“Just did my first class with Sergio as the Instructor. Great clear instructions to follow along for a beginner like me. Excited to come back and sweat some more“
“Variety of excellent classes. Very good instructors. Friendly staff. The Intermediate Flow class is challenging, but Lance is always encouraging and ready to offer alternatives for some of the more difficult poses, and I definitely appreciate that! There is a great community feel in this studio.“
“I just finished my first week here and had an amazing time! All of the instructors are sweet, welcoming, and knowledgable. Classmates are also very welcoming and helpful with tips for newbies like me! I'm excited to continue and highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking to workout.“
“My 100th pilates class and I got to sign the board in the studio. Why did I commemorate the occasion with a poo tshirt? It was a Peloton shirt. I'm pleased with my progress.“
