4324 Di Paolo Center, Glenview“Chang’s Tae Kwon Do has been in part of our family for 12 years now, since 2012. This was back when the dojang was in its Morton Grove location. Starting from when my older brother, Mr. Justin, started taking lessons to eventually becoming an instructor there. Throughout the years, as it transitioned to its current location in Glenview, Chang’s continues to be a place of empowerment and endless support for us.
As a five foot tall woman, I’ve always felt vulnerable and scared of situations that would leave me defenseless. I took a self defense class here my sophomore year of high school and Master Roger taught me invaluable lessons on how to protect myself. This is what initially got me to join, but what kept me was the amazing community of instructors, leaders, and students. You’re surrounded with such astounding humans who are all so motivated, strong, and make you feel that you belong there no matter your current level of fitness is. I attend the adults class and seeing so many people from varying age groups, from teenagers to people in their 20’s through 50’s doing TKD (doing it so well too under Chang’s accurate and coordinated tutelage) is so inspiring. Because of Chang’s, I’m a lot more comfortable in my environment. I always leave the class with a smile on my face and a readiness to tackle life’s challenges.
I would like to mention that they also host great birthday parties. For Mr. Justin’s 29th birthday, they helped coordinate a personalized, organized and active party. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate your birthday, Chang’s is such a fun and unique way to do so.
Finally, through the disciplines of TKD, they’ve instilled powerful life lessons that have helped me and especially Mr. Justin through challenging life events. Through Chang’s we were able to find family, a constant community that warmly accepts us and pushes us to be the best versions of ourselves. We love Chang’s TKD . We are so grateful to have Chang’s in our lives and even more thankful that Chang's TKD will continue to be in our future.“

Mr. and Mrs. Wood are so passionate about teaching and all students receive individual attention. I love that they also teach courtesy, integrity, and focus. Our son absolutely loves learning here and always looks forward to his lessons!“

7038 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles“Top Level has, in my experience, the kindest and most helpful people I've ever met. I mainly train at another gym, however, If I didn't have know the people at my gym from years prior, and went into things blind, Top Level might have been where I chose to stay. The Environment Bernie, Leon and the other team members create is about the best thing you could ever ask for. Whether you're looking to just get a work out in, or want to become a professional fighter, top level has the ability to cater to anyone. Really can't say enough good things about the place. As long as I train I'll be going to Top Level, and I encourage anyone who is wondering about getting into legit martial arts to try top level out.“

19 Golf Rd, Arlington Heights“My 7 year old takes class twice a week hat the Bolingbrook location. The facility is well kept, clean, and organized. The instructors interact with students before class, ensuring engagement and safe play (so much that my son asks to arrive early each session). Classes are appropriately challenging and content varies as to keep learning new skills while reviewing previously learned techniques. Respect is earned and given from both teachers and students.“

909 S Roselle Rd, Schaumburg“My girls (preteen and teen) both enjoyed the Jiu-jitsu classes there. They were easy to drop in and go on the days we were available so they were very flexible. My daughters felt comfortable there, no issues, they went around the time Covid was causing alot of issues for businesses but they handled it well respecting their students while keeping them safe.
Would definitely go there in future for more classes, we only stopped due to changes in life that time making it hard to go. Highly recommend. Definitely a good workout for anyone of all ages“

1659 E Oakton St, Des Plaines“Great place to learn taekwondo. Master DD, Master Max, and Master Joanna are great instructors who care about the people who come to learn the art. They will take the time to help you learn 1 on 1. This has been a fantastic place for my almost 10 year old daughter to learn martial arts. They also have movie nights every last Friday of the month and celebration on holidays. A great way for kids as well as parents to make friends and be social. I 100% recommend Martial Arts of Des Plaines.“

She absolutely loves the place, the kids, the coach… she is 10 years old now and she is still excited to go to practice 3-4 times per week. Master Kris is a great coach and he has been supporting her not only for Taekwondo but in real life. He helped her build confidence over time and supported her when she was going through some hard times. No words can express how grateful and lucky we are to be a part of Revolution Taekwondo! Strongly recommend the place and the coach!“

1714 E Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights“I was very skeptical about signing up my oldest for TKD because I was worried about how he would listen. This has been, by far, the best investment for him. The masters are engaging, passionate, and attentive to all the needs of the children. I'm so happy we found DKF. Master Adam and Master Sporanza are truly the best! At 4.5 years old I can already notice a huge difference in my sons behaviors and mannerisms at home.“

677 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines“Firstly, if Ma'am or Sir end up reading this, I have to say that I'm sorry I didn't share a reason for my sudden departure from lessons. I had been stewing on it for a while, as High School drew closer and closer to beginning, and I knew that I wouldn't be able to focus on both. That conflict of interests ultimately made me enjoy these lessons less and less, as I was naively afraid to directly voice my concerns, and ended up saying nothing like the young and dumb teenager I was. I probably should have written this review much earlierSecondly. Having spent so much time here, I can safely say that it is one of the most welcoming, honest, and family-like groups I've ever been a part of. Practicing, training, sparring, and learning together always felt wonderful thanks to how much each of us got to bond with one another, form friendships, etc. Not only is this an excellent place to learn Tae-Kwon-Do, it is an excellent place to meet people you genuinely enjoy engaging and interacting with, especially Sir and Ma'am, who are the best instructors a student could ask for.I apologize that it has taken so long for me to say much of anything after my departure, there is no excuse for that, and even less for not sharing the reason for it prior to doing so. I cannot apologize enough for that, truly, I cannot- E. Rodriguez“

The sensei Marek is very kind, genuine and shows how much jiu jitsu can positively impact a person if they simply decide to step on the mats. Try a class, you won't regret it and it just might change your life for the better.“

We saw several Hawaiian dances and heard a little of Hawai'I 's history and traditions. Because there were several people celebrating their birthday's, 2 people where brought up on stage to dance. It seemed as though the whole restaurant was one big party. My family certainly enjoyed the experience. The food was okay, shredded pork, salmon and breaded chicken were served with white rice and a macaroni noodle salad.“

36 Skokie Valley Rd, Highland Park“I have been practicing Kungfu at the temple since Jan 2019. I am coming up on 3 years. I still love it and continue to grow. Since then, I have lost 60Lbs and cured type II diabetes and eliminated high cholesterol. This was my intended goal and Sifu and Tom were instrumental in helping me reach my goals. But the Temple of Kungfu is more than that. It's about personal growth, being your best self, mentally, spiritually and physically. Your Kungfu travels with you. The Taoist lessons learned apply to everyday life. I am equipped with an array of skills and tools that I apply daily. It's about learning who you are, what you can achieve and constantly setting new goals for yourself. The Temple is about growing into the best version of yourself. After spending years in the health club, I can honestly say, I can never go back. I learn at the Temple and practice daily at home. Sifu has given me an arsenal of knowledge and techniques to work on. Depending on what I feel I need to work on I practice; Qigong forms, Tai Chi, Splashing Hands, Hsing-I and meditation, Shih Shui. In the near future, I will look forward to learning some Bagua as well as more advanced techniques. All-the-while healing the mind, body and spirit. If you are serious about your health and want the tools to mitigate stress and be a happier person then I highly recommend Kungfu and the Temple.“

TaeKwando has influenced all areas of my sons life, at home, school, with friends and I will always be grateful for that, and proud of my son for his accomplishments in such an honorable skill to learn.
