“After calling around and not getting responses from other places, Mike from Royal took great care of us. We had floors installed on the entire first floor (3 rooms, kitchen, and a small hallway), stained, finished, and sealed. During the estimate meeting, Mike walked us through the entire process of what, how, and why. His knowledge of flooring and the products they use is impressive and I think he genuinely enjoys and cares about doing the whole job well. Everything went smoothly, from the install through the final coat and the floor looks fantastic. I feel we lucked out having Mike contacting us.A few other notes that some may find useful. The unfinished wood we used was red oak and I was surprised at the high quality of it. Think twice if you want to stain it, the natural wood looks incredible once it's installed and it's almost a shame to stain it. We had a specific look we were after and ended up staining, but I thought more than twice about it. The stain sample was done on the installed floor in our house, not in a showroom. Mike and his team picked a spot in a room, applied a few different stains, and we picked the one we thought looked best to us.
