I'm so happy with my experience at Shaggy Dog. I was able to get in quickly which was a relief since my cats hair was facing some issues with mattes. Dawn shaved him perfectly- I was told cat skin is paper thin which makes this even more impressive. He was ready in a matter of hours and I know he was treated with the utmost care. Dawn is fantastic at what she does, and it's a rare skill to find in the burbs. Everyone there was friendly from start to finish. I will be back!

Love Shaggy Dog Shop!Worth our 80+ min drive!Truly!The whole staff seems absolutely delightful but also, there is a clear calm that permeates the shop….In her later years, our dog has become typically anxious when going to the vet & groomer. In the past, with other groomers, even having taken Trazodone, she would shake nonstop and literally cling as tightly as possible to me when we would approach the groomer’s shop. Since we started going to Shaggy dog and Athena has been our groomer, Holly has been so much more relaxed and chill. My cats can be a little tricky to groom they are a bit....evasive. When I talked to their groomer Ren she seemed to know exactly what to do. I dropped them off and a few hours later was told they were ready. I was thrilled to see my kitties where all clean. My black cat doesn't shed much but I was blown away how soft and shiny his coat felt. My tabby however, sheds a fair bit, especially after baths. Someone must have put a lot of effort into brushing him cause now he hardly sheds now. Nails were done perfectly, not too long but not insanely (painfully) short.
