“I was blindsided. I went to my family dentist for my six month cleaning. I was totally unprepared for the outcome. I was told I needed a root canal, which possibly could not fix the problem and I would therefore need an extraction plus another two that had so much decay in it that they couldn’t save it and that would need to be extraction. I go religiously every six months for a cleaning and did not have any idea that this much work was needed. My family dentist was not able to do the work and was sending me to a specialist.
