I would like to thank Fred J. Smith for the excellent repair work he did on my roof today. He returned my call immediately, came out to inspect my damage within 48 hours and the job done in 72. He is a man of his word and does excellent work

Like others, Fred was referred by W Brothers roofers (who were very prompt in getting back to me). I needed plastic roof vents (that came with the house) replaced with steel ones after squirrels ate through the plastic ones!. Fred came out within a day or two of my call with an estimate (also worked with me to assure the replacement roof vents would meet the requirements of the homeowners assocn) and scheduled the work a couple days after I got back to him to accept. Very nice guy... professional...as was his employee who was on site. Also did a minor touch up "while they were up there" at no extra charge. Really seems to be a "do the job right" kind of person. Highly recommend. (this posts as my being in SF (!) I'm actually in Hoffman Estates, IL)

My roof was around 14 years old and had been damaged by a recent storm that went through with high winds. Fred came out in a timely manner and submitted his bid to completely replace the roof on my house and garage. I had other bids but decided to go with him because of his experience, very reasonable price and the positive reviews I had read from others. He even came by on short notice and provided his expertise when the insurance adjuster came to assess the damage. This resulted in a favorable outcome and the workmanship on the roof was top notch. I highly recommend Fred J.Smith roofing!
