I’m so glad I found J Alek Hair Studio. He truly cares about my hair. He took the time to listen to my needs and learn my hair my first appointment. He‘s serious about making you look and feel your best and the amount of attention feels like celebrity treatment. He‘s professional, fun to talk to but also is chill so it’s relaxing to be there. He listens but also makes suggestions and he explains as he’s doing things which is huge for me. I love a good blow dry style with a round brush and he’s great at doing them. I get so many compliments.

“I decided I wanted to get platinum/white highlights for my grey hair which was thin and lifeless. I thought the highlights would give my hair more body. I searched and read a number of reviews for different salons. i came across WG Salon and I'm so happy I did! It's a cute unpretentious shop with so much charm. Karen was my hairdresser, and she did a beautiful job highlighting my hair. Since my first visit I have had 2 more visits. I can't say enough about Karen. She is so sweet and thoughtful but more importantly I have never had anyone cut my hair with such meticulous care. I'm 72 and have had a lifetime of haircuts. She doesn't just grab the hair and chop it off. I have very thin hair and she carefully spends time layering it and it makes such a difference. I highly recommend her!“

Tracey, the owner and stylist was top notch. I learned more about my hair than I ever have in my 50+ years. She explained how to care for my hair, which products and tools would be beneficial to help my hair become healthier and to achieve the style she created. She worked with my fine hair and was able to guide me to a style that looked good (if I do say so myself) and met my needs of low maintenance.

She truly understood the products that she sells and is passionate about being eco-friendly, cruelty-free and vegan.

As I was leaving she gave me a brochure of the products she used so I wouldn't forget. Of course, they now have it in their system but it was nice to walk off with the information. I never felt pressured to purchase any of the products or book the next appointment.
