She was very patient (this process took several months). She researched and found options for my high index prescription (+10.5 in contacts and +12 in glasses) until we found a good fit. “Shawn at Doyle is great! He takes pride and professionalism in his work. He really is an expert in his craft. And I call it a craft because of the work he does. I got glasses from Doyle last year in 2023. He took me through all the details of the best options for me, and where I could save some money. He's not going to over charge you for what you don't need, but he's also going to make sure you get quality. And guess what, he can cut lens ON-SITE. That doesn't happen at the chain locations. So again, it's about craftsmanship. Even if your not sure, call and talk to him. And you'll see why Doyle in specifically Winnetka is worth it. Did I mention the lens / frame I got from him took a hit from a 50 mph baseball...and they didn't break. Lens popped out. I popped them back in and they were good as new!“

“First time coming back since the new owners. What a difference. After my previous experiences with the former owner and having to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to close to two hours to see Dr. DeKoster (who is no longer there), I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was seen by both staff and Doctor. First of all, the wonderful woman that was at the desk named Diamond was very kind and courteous and helpful. Had to fill out the necessary paperwork and it took no time to do this. I didn't even have a chance to sit down when I was called to do the preliminary eye exams. That part was handled by one of THE NICEST, BEST AND MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE people I have ever interacted with at Melrose. Her name is Nicole and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. She did a very thorough job of examining my eyes, explained each procedure and I felt totally at ease because of her. She is going to be a fantastic optometrist in the future! Afterwards, Dr.Dzubur came in and what a pleasant experience THAT was. Very down to earth guy, explains everything to you. I came away from this visit knowing more about my eyes than the entire times I went to Melrose Eyecare before. Very grateful for all of the help that I was given and how wonderful everyone treated me. I am very satisfied with the new owners and look forward to my next visit. Great job!“
