Comparing Vision Works to Walmart: Summary: Walmart is MUCH cheaper for the same quality of daily contacts, much better customer service as well. Not sure what Vision Works is doing wrong, but they seem kinda money hungry to me. How I decided this: I used to order contacts at Vision Works in Gurnee Mills, but I had forgotten to get a new prescription done with them before leaving for college. YES!! After calling around all over town being blown away at the prices of other places, and after trying out a different national vision chain, I came here. The hassle at the other place was a pain, and the prescription was waaaaay off. When I came here the doctor validated what I thought about the other prescription, re tested me, listened to my concerns and I walked out with a killer pain of glasses for under $100!
