“I just read a recent review about Awesome Tan, that seems a bit skewed and given by someone who has never actually used the salon. I’ve been tanning there with a membership for I believe a little over 4 years. I have never had an issue with anything at this salon! The salon is always clean, bulbs are always in working condition giving optimal tanning results. (Ive been tanning for many many years, I know tanning bed results!) The staff is beyond great, I typically go in during the day on my lunch hour and I’m greeted by Danielle. Danielle is very knowledgeable of the tanning industry. She always wants to meet the clients request while keeping the safety of their skin the most important factor in tanning!! Char is a new addition to the salon who is a great asset. Char is friendly, kind, full of energy, and their to welcome and serve Awesome Tans clients as well. So to the person who reviewed Awesome Tan without any knowledge of the salon, shame on you. It takes more than one “bad” review to bring a great business down. Kudos to the owners, I have been waited on by the employee who was eating at the counter, hanging with her boyfriend, wearing her PJ’s, grunts when you come in instead of making eye contact and speaking to you, and spending extended periods in the bathroom. She was very unprofessional, you did your salon a great service by letting her go.

“I am a long-term customer and really enjoy coming to this L.A. Tan location. The salon is always exceptionally clean, and they offer a great variety of tanning options and products — from different bed levels to lay-down, stand-up, and spray tans, along with trial and full-size lotions. I rarely have to wait for a room, and if I do, it's usually no more than 10 minutes.

They also offer well-priced tanning packages and frequently run specials, which makes it easy to save money while keeping your tan. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and upbeat. They do a great job of maintaining standards — verifying identity, making sure you have your eyewear, and offering towels.

The only downside for me is the upselling — it can be a bit much. I understand it's part of their role, but when I'm in a hurry, I’d appreciate it if “no, thank you” was enough without additional pitches. That said, I still give this location 5 stars, because they’re clearly well-trained and committed to great service. Just a little less pressure on the sales side would make it perfect.
