Northwestern Medicine Glenview Outpatient Center Laboratory Services

I have to say that every time I go to Northwestern Glenview outpatient center. It's pretty easy. the receptionist and staff are always nice courteous and friendly. I see Dr. Dana Wood regularly there and she has to be the best doctor I've ever seen. The location is convenient. It's right next to the Costco where I have my pharmacy in GLENVIEW and it has ample parking.

I have been coming here for about 5 yrs now. I mainly utilize the facility for labs, but I have had to see their staff for ultrasounds as well. I like this place. It has parking, its clean and they do a great job. It is a bit of a hike for me just for labs, but I refuse to hit up the Evanston location. See, I am the kind of person that has great veins, but they are not visible. One would need to be a trained phlebotomist to find them, otherwise, I am their worst nightmare. Every time I go to the Evanston location, I come out with a minimal of 3 pokes for a vile of blood and later the bruises ensue. No bueno! At the Patriot location, it's one and done kind of visit. The only vice is that they now require appointments for labs, and that's a pain. The app does not allow you to make appointments, so you have to call their main line. It's not fun, but Rona has changed the world.

Totally upset by their CoVid entry protocol. They force you to remove the mask you are wearing (what?!) and put on one of their flimsy disposable paper masks. All kinds of wrong there. The dispensing of the masks is such that they are jammed into a space and you grab one from a hole resembling a big Kleenex box. Lots of room for contamination from someone with CoVid on their hands. Really made me very anxious. Thanks lots for that!! I appreciated having them available for those without, and it would not have been so stressful to put it over existing mask, but to have us all swapping out our masks? Stupid.
