“I attended a different school but felt like it was too many people in the classroom so instructors wasn’t able to be as attentive to a learners needs more than 30 ppl which made me feel they cared more about money than students. But when I was referred by a friend about Expert Driving School which only has about 10-12 ppl in the classroom at a time, it was obvious thst Expert was the best option. Honestly a completely different experience when I say I have no complaints that’s exactly what I mean, I was working a full time job but still was able to finish in 8 weeks because of how serious I was to get this done but also how professional and courteous Ms.Beata is she’s such an amazing teacher she’s makes the pre trip so simple. Jose the driving instructor was very patient with his students, He saw the potential and determination in me so that made him push me harder. “Alot of trucking schools don't work with everyone's schedule. I went to other schools and their pretty strict with their schedules. But when I came here to midcity trucking school everyone was understandable and nice. Midcity worked with me by matching my trucking class schedule with my work schedule and off days. The School has mornings and night classes; so it helped with me managing time with my family and work schedule. I had numerous trials and errors when I first started but Chris, Angelika, Aaron and Phillip and everyone else worked with me. I had failed numerous times and the guys took their time and worked with me about my schedule even though things were difficult on their end with scheduling. They encouraged me to keep pushing forward when i was on my final attempt and didn't give up on me. Lupe is very excellent at lecturing students about different truck classes. He is very detailed and patience with humor so you won't be bored. Thank you for your patience Lupe. Adam, Arthur, Angel, Igor, Alberto were a huge help to me during the skill and road test. I couldn't have done it without their patience and will to teach me. ( Poor Arthur took the brunt of it, sorry Arthur. Thank you for your patience.) “I took my lesson from Nova at Evanston. I had my lesson with three different instructors for 8 hours btw + 2 hours btw + a road test. They are all very good instructors. David CA is knowledgeable about the car and always on time with the schedule, but can be a little perfectionist (which some of you may find helpful); David CR helped me throughout my nervousness and more confidence during the lesson; and Marq very good at giving tips and trick with many things, also a good attention with details. Overall it's a very good experience. I also feel at ease (less stressed) when taking the road exam because Jamie helped me during the process of paperwork and preparing for the road test. The customer service is also helpful and very informative. Sometimes, they can be disorganized and late, but they make up the late time as long as you let them know. Just call the customer service for the help. Thanks, Nova, I just passed my road test today!“

“I had stopped in on two other driving schools before choosing ADDS. One felt like a wrong fit, mostly due to availability and the other (also in Evanston) had a front desk person who was condescending and gave what I knew was incorrect information.
As an elderly woman, new to Illinois and not having driven for over a year, this challenge was almost overwhelming.
From the minute I entered the office of ADDS, I felt comfortable. First contact was the very busy Kemyta, who was juggling phone, paperwork, walk-ins and still smiling. When she was free, she asked me a few questions, then showed me how to maneuver their website, which had practice tests and much other information. There was also a voice behind a partition - an instructor giving a lesson to a group of high school students. Kemyta and I discussed my tailored requirements including pickup and dropoff as well as instruction for written test, driving test and all the crazy paperwork associated with an out of state elderly person licensing situation. Kemyta assured me that the owner, Doug Whitmore, a retired state policeman, would lead me through the process.
When I met Doug, I asked him to be very straightforward with criticisms because I wanted to get this right. In turn, he gave encouragement, precise feedback, directions and kindly- phrased criticisms. After each session, I received a detailed summary from Doug’s wife Andrea, while Doug was off giving CDL lessons for truck drivers. Text messages and emails were answered in reasonable time. This group had so many dimensions but operates very compatibly.
I was apprehensive about taking the test and asked if I should have one more lesson, but Doug said he thought I could pass and gave specific issues on which to focus. He easily could have had another payment from me, but he took the high road (no pun intended).
I passed all the testing and got a license. Yay! This company is like family. They care about your success, know what they are doing, kind, moral and truly a pleasure to work with.“
