I tried new shoes, stretching, ice, and messages. I was a doubter in resolving the issue using acupuncture. But the pain was so bad I was willing to try it. I explained to Dr. Van that I had terrible Achilles pain. He told me to allow him 3 sessions to see if I thought it was helping. After the 1st session, I could tell it made a difference because it felt better. I went back one more time for that problem about 3 weeks later. I didn't need the 3rd session. About 2 years later I had the problem developing on the other foot. I went to see him before it got bad. I only needed one session. Now, I tell everyone to go see him when they have aches and pain issues.
