After my wife had passed away, the Cremation Society made such a difference in the proper procedures. They were not only friendly and quite knowledgeable but most professional with all matters concerned. They were absolutely helpful and caring. This was the second time I needed their services because they had also did my mom who passed away several years prior and I returned now because of their fantastic help before.

Until you have experienced the loss of a loved one it is very difficult emotionally no matter how prepared you think you are. Dealing with not only your emotions but everything else can be very overwhelming. We contacted the Glen Ellen office at the Cremation Society for the passing of our mother and the experience was incredibly positive. Stephanie and Elizabeth took care of everything in a very caring and compassionate way and all we had to do was advise what we wanted. I am a very picky physician and signed up for Cremation Society of Illinois pre-paid plan years ago for myself, my wife and my mother. When my wife recently passed away they provided superb and timely service. The funeral director, Stephanie Smedbron, was kind, warm and explained the process very well. Everything went smoothly and was handled with dignity and almost daily updates were given by phone or email during the entire process. I would highly recommend them as the only company in Illinois who owns their own crematorium with certified workers.
